My artistic work is linked to people, to society. I think all forms of art are. Human beings are the common denominator throughout the various themes present in my work. I see art as a way to communicate and convey messages to people.
I hope it can prompt them to think and act about it.

Being socially engaged is more than talking about politics in a bar with friends. Art can deliver a message in a very different way than writing or speaking, it is all about feelings.

People tend to think too much about art: in the end, you are touched or not by an artwork. If not, no need to bother understanding…
But if you are indeed touched, then comes the intimate question of why and how. It is at that precise moment that an artwork does not belong anymore to its author.
